A simple server handling low volumes of traffic and only being used as a POP3 Post Office Protocol V3 (A message retrieve protocol) server will need a much less demanding PC that one for 10,000 users with IMAP, WebMail, a browser based interface with which to access mail, and large volumes of mail.
